I use to be involved in ‘the scene’ well kind of. Back in the day before the Internet, I was a kid and those that had 9600baud modems were worshiped. The scene was on the BBS, Bulletin Board Systems. Those boards that were elite had all sorts of commercial software, viruses, shady text files and those cool dos games if you could get access to them. Things definitely have changed. Files were a Meg or so in size and could take up to an hour to download, now files are over a Gig in size and can take about the same amount of time if you have a kickin connection. Too much risk nowadays, especially with all the responsibilities that come with being an adult.
If you have not seen the scene, I would recommend downloading and watching it, starting with episode 1. Yeah, it is just watching a guy type, but it is so darn addicting.
