Chattanooga Major Crimes detectives have charged Dathan “Dookie Butt” Mitchell in the stabbing of Jeramie Johnson on Saturday.

Police said the stabbing occurred around 10 p.m.

Mitchell is charged with one count of attempted first degree murder and one count of aggravated assault.

The suspect has not been arrested at this time.

Man Gets One Year for Stealing Undies

MENOMONIE, Wis. Apr 7, 2006 (AP) - A 25-year-old man convicted of stealing hundreds of pairs of underwear was sentenced on Friday to one year in jail for his second conviction of stealing panties.

Anthony Allen Scholfield was also sentenced to 10 years probation on Friday in Dunn County Circuit Court, following his guilty plea to a felony burglary charge in February. He had faced more than 18 years in prison.

“It sure could have been a lot worse. It’s a difficult crime,” said Scholfield’s attorney, Peter Morin.

Scholfield had been accused of stealing three pair of thong underwear from a woman last summer. He allegedly broke into the woman’s home while she was out of town and stole what the woman described as “very distinctive-looking” underwear.

Scholfield was arrested a short time later after police found the underwear at his residence.

Scholfield was convicted of a similar felony burglary in 2003. Police had linked him to the theft of 854 panties.

His probation had ended days before the burglary last summer.

Scholfield will have to register as a sex offender because of his crimes, said Dunn County District Attorney Kris Cusick. He must also undergo sex offender treatment and pay a $2,500 fine.

So the guy is now a sex offender because he stole people’s undergarments?
Just another glaring example of why the sex offender registry is very wrong.
Introduced to ’save the children’ the sex offender registry has turned into a tool to humiliate and intimidate individuals found guilty of ’sex crimes’.
Even if sex was never involved like in this case.
If we are so concerned about child molesters then why not just have a registry for child sex abusers? But we don’t, all ’sex crime’ criminals are included. Guys before walking out of the house make sure ‘the barn door’ isn’t open, because if someone sees it, you could get charged for indecent exposure and thus become a sex offender.
If we have a registry for all sex offenses no matter how minor, how about one for felons? The bank robbers, killers and thieves, heck how about for anyone found guilty of a crime.

Doctor fired for ‘anal massage’ technique

A Swedish doctor who has previously been cautioned in Sweden for using a controversial ‘anal massage’ technique to cure various kinds of pain has been fired from his job in Norway - for the second time.

A council in the Nord-Tröndelag area dismissed the doctor after only two weeks, when they realised that he was the same man who hit the headlines last year when another local authority fired him.

The man, who also runs a private clinic in Gothenburg, described his dismissal as part of a witch-hunt against him, and said that his technique is successful.

Several years ago, the man was warned by Sweden’s Medical Responsibility Board (HSAN) on at least three occasions, after treating an elderly woman’s headaches and back pain with his method. At the time he was working in the Stockholm area.

The Norwegian counterpart to HSAN has already had cause to warn the man after he delivered a load of Swedish jokes to a group of Norwegians who were mourning a death.

The man considers himself misunderstood.

“I have a personality disorder, or rather a syndrome, a form of Aspergers. Just like Bill Gates or Einstein, for example,” said the man in a recent interview with Aftonbladet.

“I have made it impossible for myself within the healthcare sector because I behave childishly sometimes. I am different, but cleverer.”

HSAN examined the research literature which the doctor used to support his use of his anal massage technique, but found that his treatment contradicted “scientific, tried and tested experience”.

What, they couldn’t give Dr. Butt’s name?
I mean anyone who gets paid to give anal massages and compares himself to Bill Gates and Einstein deserves the notoriety and be named.

Banned from laughing in woods

A German has been ordered to stop laughing out loud in the woods after joggers complained he was disturbing the peace.

Accountant Joachim Bahrenfeld, 54, from Datteln said he goes to the woods after work and at weekends to have a good belly laugh.

“It’s part of living for me, like eating, drinking and breathing. I feel much better when I laugh, it’s freeing and healthy,” he said.

But he now faces a £4,000 fine or six months jail if he laughs out loud again after a jogger successfully took him to court saying he was disturbing the peace.

German laugh expert Susanne Maier, who founded the German Laughter Academy which aims to teach serious minded Germans to lighten up, said: “Mr Bahrenfeld has been doing what we advise our students to do and that is to find a place they like to have a good old giggle.

“It would do the person who made the complaint and the judge good to come along to our school and learn for themselves the benefits of letting it all go.”

A $4,800 fine or 6 months in jail for laughing in the woods?
That’s crazy. Why not just stay home and laugh. Is there something funny in the woods, or he just laughing at the joggers.
German Laughter Academy?
That’s even crazier.
Funny, they don’t have a website. Laughing to much to put one up?

Associated Press
AUSTIN, Minn. - A machine filled with toys must’ve been awfully tempting to a three-year-old boy.

The tot crawled through the toy discharge chute in the Toy Chest claw machine at a Godfather’s Pizza in Austin and got stuck amid all the toys.

Fire Chief Dan Wilson said it was one of the funniest things he’s ever seen. Wilson was one of three people to respond to the non-emergency call. He says the boy was inside the transparent container playing, smiling and laughing and people were taking his picture with digital cameras.

Firefighters pried the door open to get the boy out.

The child wasn’t hurt.

The new guy made me do this.

Man Killed Boy For Walking Across Yard

BATAVIA, Ohio — An Ohio man who neighbors say was devoted to his meticulously kept lawn has been charged with murder in the shooting of a 15-year-old boy who apparently walked across his yard.

A 911 tape recorded 66-year-old Charles Martin as saying, “I just killed a kid.” Martin also told a dispatcher, “I’ve been harassed by him and his parents for five years. Today just blew it up.”

The child, Larry Mugrage, was Martin’s neighbor.

According to police, Martin and Mugrage had a history of arguments about Martin’s yard. The two argued again Sunday, police said, and when Mugrage returned, Martin was waiting outside and shot him twice.

He then called 911, officials said.

Martin: “I just killed a kid.”
911 Operator: “You just killed a kid?”
Martin: “Yes, ma’am.”

Later, the operator asked Martin to explain what happened.

Martin: “Kids just been giving me a bunch of (expletive), making other kids harass me in my place, tearing things up.”
911 Operator: “OK, so what’d you do?”
Martin: “I shot him with a (expletive) 4-10 shotgun twice.”
911 Operator: “You shot him with a shotgun? Where is he?”
Martin: “He’s laying in his yard.”

Neighbors said Martin lived alone quietly, often sitting in front of his one-story home with its neat lawn, well-trimmed shrubbery and flagpole with U.S. and Navy flags flying.

Another neighbor described the victim as “a good kid.”

Mugrage, a student at Glen Este High School, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Authorities said Martin has no prior criminal record, but he does have a history of complaints about neighbors allegedly damaging his property. Other teens from the neighborhood said Martin was obsessive about his lawn.

Martin is scheduled to be back in a Clermont County court Thursday

The guy is an idiot and should be punished to whatever Ohio law says.
But I do have to say the kid is not that much brighter. If the kid would have shown a little respect and just stayed off the guys lawn this wouldn’t have happened, but he didn’t. He showed the disrespectful and the ‘I am invincible’ attitude kids have these days.

Darn kids, have no respect these days!

Man arrested after asking cops to test his new crack pipe

TAMPA — Phillip Williams doubted whether he was being sold actual crack cocaine, police say. So he approached two uniformed Tampa officers and allegedly asked them to test his crack pipe so he could be sure.

Turned out Williams, 47, was getting the real thing, and he was arrested shortly after approaching the officers Tuesday morning.

Officers Wayne Easley and Gary Filippone were investigating a burglary and trying to catch loose dogs when Williams walked up, crack pipe in hand, and asked them to verify that he was getting real drugs, a report said.

When Williams grabbed Easley’s police vest, the officers put him in handcuffs, the report said. He was arrested after the residue in his pipe tested positive for crack cocaine.

Williams is listed in jail records as a security worker at MacDill Air Force Base. He is charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. He was still in jail Wednesday with bail set at $2,500. Jail records had no attorney information.

Kids, do you see why you shouldn’t do drugs? They make you really really dumb.

Prof resigns over graphic video

A Grand Rapids Community College professor resigned after allegedly showing ten seconds of a sexually explicit video in his criminal justice class.

Professor Samuel Naves resigned after the story appeared on the front page of the GRCC newspaper. Administrators had no comment, except to say it is a personnel matter.

The campus paper said students were watching clips about criminal justice from Nave’s e-mail when he flipped past the clip. According to the paper, students begged to see it. Naves warned them it was an explicit clip of a man having sex with a pig.

24 Hour News 8 was unable to speak with anyone who was in class at the time of the alleged incident.

According to the campus paper, the Dean of Workforce Development at GRCC spoke with the class after Nave’s resignation. The dean said Naves is no longer teaching his classes and that the behavior may have violated state and local laws.

Naves declined comment to 24 Hour News 8.

GOLD HILL, Ore. A teen who pinched and twisted another boy’s nipple while standing in line at a deli has been sentenced to four days in juvenile detention because he refused to write a letter that explained his actions.

The 16-year-old, was convicted of offensive physical touching in July 2005, after the victim’s parents complained to Gold Hill police. The Crater High School student paid a $67 fine and served three days of community service.

“I emptied trash cans, mowed lawns and shoveled gravel,” the teen said.

But the teen’s refusal to comply with the final piece of his sentence will cost him four days in detention. He was required to write the letter during four classes put on by Mediation Works, which operates the victim-offender program for Jackson County Community Justice.

Mary Miller, executive director of Mediation Works, said the purpose of the letter is to prepare teens to be accountable for their offenses.

“They don’t have to apologize,” she said. “But they are required to be accountable.”

The offender is required to describe the act in detail, explain “thinking errors,” “express empathy” and describe any resultant life changes.

Miller said the program is “often a very, very healing experience between the victim and youth offender.”

The teen said he presented a rough draft of his letter in the third session. He said he balked when told he must also describe his “criminal thought processes.”

He said that would imply malicious or criminal intent, and “none of that applied to my feelings or actions.”

The teen said he had no criminal intent because he considered the victim to be a friend at the time of the incident, which he deemed horseplay. Including the language sought by Mediation Works, he said, would turn his prior court statements into lies.

“It was a matter of conscience,” the teen said. “I figure the worst is already over.”

Ken Chapman, a Community Justice juvenile probation supervisor, verified the teen’s sentence.

“The judge found a willful violation of the court order,” Chapman said.

So the kid does three days community service pays a $67 fine, and then gets 4 days in juvenile detention over not writing a letter. All of this because he gave a friend of the same sex a purple nurple, a titty twister?
What a load of crap.
Reading my local paper I see plenty of individuals found guilty of stealing, drugs or other real crimes that have their entire sentence suspended. And this kid loses 7 days of his life for this?
He did actually write the letter, but it wasn’t good enough for Mediation Works. The Kid couldn’t write about his “criminal thought process” since there was none.
So his punishment more than doubles, and he servers 4 days in juvenile dentition. Either there is a lot more to this story, or the Jackson County Community Justice is run by a bunch of idiots.
