Who didn’t see that coming. ![]()
One of my favorite commercials.

You’re not subtle, but you don’t want to be. Fast, loud, and dramatic, you want people to notice you, and then get out of the way. In a world full of sheep, you’re a raging bull.
Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.
The rampant complaining about gas prices is enough to put an army of Eeyores to shame. At last, however, it seems that Americans are starting to put their money where their mouth is. Some are forsaking everything you ever thought was cool for a scooter that gets 80 mpg. Others have established organizations offering incentives to car poolers or encouraging employer rewards for conscientious commuters. Mass transit systems are expanding. Hybrid vehicles are becoming more and more popular, with most manufacturers planning to significantly increase the number of available hybrid models in the near future, a figure that has already tripled since 2003. Various levels of government are beginning to offer incentives for hybrid ownership, a trend that will likely accelerate as alternative fuel and hybrid research continues to develop. [.continue.]
Someone did some number crunching to find out if Hybrids are actually worth it.

Well I guess it depends on what you are after.
Ford Motor Co. said on Wednesday it is recalling nearly 226,000 vehicles in the United States and Canada, including its flagship Ford Five Hundred sedan and Freestyle wagon, because of fire risks.
Vehicles involved in the recall are from the 2005 model year and include the Crown Victoria, Lincoln Town Car, Mercury Grand Marquis and Montego sedans, Ford spokeswoman Kristen Kinley said. [.continue.]

An interesting glimpse into how we get our gas, at least here on the east coast.
The threat of high gas prices from now until Kingdom Come sent me in search of “how to save at the pump” today. I’ve compiled the following Top 25 Ways to Save at the Pump from the top 10 search results on Google. [continue]
Some common sense things you can do to minimize your petrol cost. Although some of these I think aren’t right.
4. Fill up at night because pumps deliver more gas when temperatures are lower.
Someone needs to explain this one to me. Why would this occur?
18. Park in the shade. This minimizes fuel evaporation and helps keep your car cool in the summer.
How much fuel evaporation actually occurs? I mean we are talking about a gas tank that is sealed with a good gas cap that doesn’t see sunlight.
There are a few others that might be a little iffy, and others that really depend on your driving situation.
The best way to save gas is to not drive. Get a bike and start pedaling!
Littlestown Good Ole Days, an old-fashioned festival offering a flea market, craft displays, antiques, display and hometown cooking was today.
I didn’t get around to flea market, craft displays or hometown cooking, but I did get to see the antique cars.
Picts of some of the cars.
