Two major pipelines carry gasoline and other fuels from refineries on the Gulf Coast to the mid-Atlantic states and the Northeast.
The Colonial pipeline, which runs from Houston to New York, consists of two major courses of pipe ranging in size from 32 inches to 40 inches in diameter. In Virginia, smaller spurs of the Colonial run to Richmond, Roanoke and Norfolk. [continue]
