My graphic designing just sucks, I know it and well someone else noticed too.
Jesse was like, you need a new banner. So he did one up quick.
The banner at the top is his doing. It isn’t fancy pancy, but does look better than the old one.
Thanks, Jesse!

Where We Get Our Fuel

Two major pipelines carry gasoline and other fuels from refineries on the Gulf Coast to the mid-Atlantic states and the Northeast.
The Colonial pipeline, which runs from Houston to New York, consists of two major courses of pipe ranging in size from 32 inches to 40 inches in diameter. In Virginia, smaller spurs of the Colonial run to Richmond, Roanoke and Norfolk. [continue]

An interesting glimpse into how we get our gas, at least here on the east coast.

A 93-year-old woman with a “grip like iron” fought back against a robber by grabbing him by the testicles.
The Lithuanian woman, who says her strong grip is down to years of milking goats, held on to the man until police arrived. [continue]

Thats just funny.

Top 25 Ways to Save at the Pump

The threat of high gas prices from now until Kingdom Come sent me in search of “how to save at the pump” today. I’ve compiled the following Top 25 Ways to Save at the Pump from the top 10 search results on Google. [continue]

Some common sense things you can do to minimize your petrol cost. Although some of these I think aren’t right.

4. Fill up at night because pumps deliver more gas when temperatures are lower.

Someone needs to explain this one to me. Why would this occur?

18. Park in the shade. This minimizes fuel evaporation and helps keep your car cool in the summer.

How much fuel evaporation actually occurs? I mean we are talking about a gas tank that is sealed with a good gas cap that doesn’t see sunlight.

There are a few others that might be a little iffy, and others that really depend on your driving situation.

The best way to save gas is to not drive. Get a bike and start pedaling!

Top 50 Science Fiction TV Shows

Found this on Slashdot
Bostin.com rated Top 50 Science Fiction TV Shows

The original Star Trek series was #1. I use to like Star Trek TOS. I tried watching it a couple months ago, seemed painful to watch. That and the original BSG, I can not watch any more, they just seem bad.
The new BSG came in #2. I agree it is a good show, I think though they should have left brand new shows out of the top 50. Who knows where that show is going, it could possible crap out in a year or so.
Babylon 5 came in at #5. I am glad they recognized B5 for being a great show. I still think B5 is the greatest underrated and underappreciated sci-fi series ever made.
3rd Rock From the Sun was always hilarious and should have garnered a higher ranking than 48.
As a kid I remember watching The Greatest American Hero, which made the list. The only thing I remember from the show is the guy could not land. Might have to rent it from Netflix to see more bad TV I use to watch.

Sin City

Sin City
Sin City

Brutal and breathtaking, Sin City is Robert Rodriguez’s stunningly realized vision of Frank Miller’s pulpy comic books. In the first of three separate but loosely related stories, Marv (Mickey Rourke in heavy makeup) tries to track down the killers of a woman who ended up dead in his bed. In the second story, Dwight’s (Clive Owen) attempt to defend a woman from a brutal abuser goes horribly wrong, and threatens to destroy the uneasy truce among the police, the mob, and the women of Old Town. Finally, an aging cop on his last day on the job (Bruce Willis) rescues a young girl from a kidnapper, but is himself thrown in jail. Years later, he has a chance to save her again.

I was a little leery about see this film, because I heard the sex and violence was a bit over the top. After seeing it, I didn’t think it was that bad. Shooting in black and white I think helped with that. Yeah, there is a good amount of violence and boobs, but it was still a good movie. I have never read any of the comics the movie was based on, but I don’t think that was necessary to enjoy the film. Definitely a film not meant for the kiddies. If you like action that can be very violent at times and the occasion boob, then this movie is for you.

BERLIN - Conservative politicians are urging German men to have more sex to boost birth rates or risk being labeled ‘limp’ abroad, a newspaper reported on Friday. [continue]

What strikes me about this article is that ‘men need to have more sex’.
Apparently the German women are doing fine.
What exactly are they trying to imply here?

Gallery 2.0 has been released.
The upgrade from the previous release went smoothly.
I played around with the ‘embed gallery2 into wordpress’ plugin, but it gave me enough issues to run gallery2 standalone for now.
Down the road if I get a free day, I might look at it again.
Gallery 2 is very nice so far.

Update
Having issues with the random pict on the main page, I went ahead and reapplied the Gallery2 embedded plugin.
Internet Explorer is having some formatting issues rendering the page, have to look at that later.
